Primary Responsibilities

The Marketing Coordinator will be a part of the Brand Shared Services Team and will help support the entire Brand Marketing Team in administrative areas related to our various brands. Main areas of focus include creation of launch & other marketing materials, new item set ups, item maintenance, reporting, sample ordering, and trade show participation. This position also interacts directly with Tree of Life Sales, Supply Chain, IT and Finance teams. Essential Functions

  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
  • Work with Brand Managers to prepare and complete retail trade promotions, launch presentations, presentation updates, sell sheets and sample ordering/distribution in a timely fashion as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal product update/discontinuation memo’s, updates to catalogues, monthly newsletters, monthly retail focus marketing materials, and the cheese book.
  • Maintain product data information on the AS400 as it relates to new item setup: pricing, marketing and nutritional information, stewardship, attributes, allergens, ecology, trade deals, vendor deals and high-resolution photos.
  • Provide administrative support to the Brand Shared Services Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist the team in local trade show preparation including set up and attend trade shows as required.
  • Maintain good attendance, safe work practices and maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
  • Approach all internal and external tasks, communication, and transactions according to our Purpose and Core Values.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • University or College Degree in Marketing or Business considered an asset.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • 3- 5 years experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry working with Brands/Marketing departments considered an asset.
  • Experience using AS400, SAP and/or ERP systems considered an asset.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail is important
  • Must be results-driven, resourceful and well organized with an ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing workflows efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Effective communicator, fluent in English (both spoken and written).
  • Must keep all personnel and department matters confidential.
