    COMPENSATION:  $ 38k - 42k commensurate with experience

    Primary Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility is to assist in multiple functions supporting the procurement process. As with all positions at Tree of Life Canada we expect that all actions will be consistent with Tree of Life Canada’s Mission, Vision and Values.

    Essential Functions

    • Research and resolve purchase order discrepancies pertaining to price and quantity differences.
    • Confirm received orders, track purchase orders and internal transfers to ensure timely delivery and data integrity.
    • Work collaboratively with Finance, Receiving, Vendors, Marketing, Sales, and other groups to effectively execute inventory replenishment and other procurement related activities and to successfully resolve issues.
    • Generate and distribute reports pertaining to Schenker consolidated billing, maintain purchase order filing system, maintain office supplies and expedite their orders, prepare purchase order files for Costing.
    • Assist in general departmental issues including approving invoices, assist with issue resolution and troubleshooting, maintain, update and allocate all freight rates.
    • Attend and participate in meetings, take meeting minutes and coordinate agendas.
    • Identify and adopt best procurement practices and support corporate policies and corporate merchandising goals/projects.
    • Must maintain good attendance, safe work practices and maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    • Must have High School diploma with a minimum of one (1) year related experience and have a fundamental knowledge of procurement.
    • Must have strong attention to details, interpersonal skills, and be customer focused.
    • Must be analytical, results-oriented, self-directed, and have excellent time management skills.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to identify and resolve conflicts and problem solving.
    • Should have knowledge of accounts payable.
